The apple orchards at Österlen in the south of Sweden are so fragrant. Österlen is known for its apple orchards and beautiful wide open fields, and October the apples are ready to be picked. It is the most beautiful time to visit Österlen, when the apple orchards are in full bloom. It is vert common to see many animals walk freely on the fields there. One very distinct memory that I have as a kid, was having to walk through a field filled with cows in order to get to the path that led down to the beach. I came across a lovely picture of a sheep and her baby lamb walking the orchards of Östelen, which inspired the creating of this print. This print feels very Swedish to me, not just the motif but also the technique of using only handdrawn watercolour lines. I imagine that this print would be beautiful as a table cloth or on kitchen towels, as well as wallpaper in countryside house.
