Snödroppar or Snowdrops as they are called in English, are one of the first flowers to arrive in early spring. They are the first signs of spring and so remarkable because they appear as if out of nowhere when there is still snow left in the ground. That is what I wanted to capture with this illustration with the white dots, as the name alludes to, they represent the fact that these wildflowers are in fact able to grow in the snow. This is a hand drawn illustration with a digital coloured background, that is very Scandinavian inspired. I think that this would be beautiful as a textile or wallpaper print.
