Every year I look forward to mimosa season. It is so exciting when they finally appear in flower shops and on street corners. When I was living in Paris, mimosa was sold in small bouquets on street corners when they were in season. I used to buy a few and bring them home and place them all around my apartment. With this print, I was actually inspired by the color scheme of the movie Umbrellas of Cherbourg, which is why I choose to use this bright pink color as the background and use blue, white and berry coloured ribbons.
