Midsommar is one of the best Swedish Holidays. It's centering around flowers makes it so romantic. With this illustration I wanted to show that this holiday is truly Scandinavian and no other part of the world celebrates it in the same way. For young people who are in love, midsummer night has the same kind of romantic magic as New Years eve. It is a cozy night when you stay up late and anything can happen. According to tradition, on midsummer night, you had to pick seven different kinds of flowers and place them underneath your pillow. Then, according to the old story, it would make you dream of your future husband or wife.
