I love traditional Swedish Cafes. They coexist with Swedish fika culture in such a beautiful way, and very old cafes from the turn of the century have managed to survive and also remain exactly they way that they once were. In true Swedish cafe fashion, the pastries and cakes are simple, well balanced and not too sweet while the interior design and decorations in the cafe are decadent but not overly so. A simple white tablecloth on a round table with a chandelier hanging over it, simple wall lamps with a sign that read fika, tea and coffee is served in porcelain China that is beautiful yet functional and it is a place where anyone would feel welcome to come and sit for while.
