I know that I say this a lot, but is there anything more wonderful than window shopping during the holiday season? There truly is nothing better than walking around the city and marvelling at the beautiful and creative ways that shopkeepers decorate their display windows. The most exciting places to walk by during the Christmas season are the bakeries, pastry shops, chocolateries and patisseries. Or as we call them in Sweden: Konditori. During the Christmas season Swedish Konditorier get so creative and really play with all of the tastes and colors of Christmas. That is why walking by their goregous display windows is so exciting because you just marvel at the new things that they manage to come up with every year. One year it's saffron cupcakes with white icing and pearl sprinkles, and another year it's candy cane chocolate cake with marzipan decorations. One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to go window shopping with my mom, which is the inspiration for this print. She has the same romanticism and love for Christmas that I do and there is no one in the world that can make it as cozy as my mom can. That is why she is my favorite person to go holiday shopping with.
